COMPARE COVERAGE PLANS

Cosmetic wheel repair is limited to sanding, painting, or refinishing the wheel, without the need to apply additional material or bend/straighten the wheel. Limited to eight (8) individual wheel repairs during the agreement terms. Inspections may be required to purchase the Tire and Wheel Protection Plus customer agreement.

Tire & Wheel Protection / Tire & Wheel Protection Plus

The Chevrolet Tire and Wheel Protection plans are available only at the time of vehicle purchase and provide for the repair or replacement of your vehicle's tires and wheels if damaged by a covered road hazard. Coverage is offered in two levels: Tire and Wheel Protection and Tire and Wheel Protection Plus.

Tire & Wheel Protection

Tire and Wheel Protection can provide for the repair or replacement of tires and wheels if structurally-damaged2 by a covered road hazard.

Tire & Wheel Protection Plus

Tire and Wheel Protection Plus3 can cover the costs associated with minor repair of cosmetic damage, in addition to the coverage of the standard Tire and Wheel Protection. Chrome, chrome-clad, and steel wheels may also be covered for minor wheel repair of scrapes and scratches caused by covered road hazards. Limited to eight individual wheel repairs during the term of the agreement.

Tire & Wheel Protection

Coverage for common road hazards, with optional plans designed to help you stay protected and on the road.

Covered road hazards

Hazards encountered while driving on a publicly or privately maintained roadway, including (but not limited to) nails, glass, potholes, rocks, wood debris, metal parts, plastic, or composite scraps.

Road hazards NOT covered6

Objects or conditions within a designated construction zone or construction site, such as uneven lanes due to repaving or metal plates temporarily covering a hole in the road.

Additional benefits

Towing service
Towing expenses will be reimbursed up to $100 per occurrence for damages caused by a covered road hazard.
Tire Pressure Monitoring System (TPMS)
Replacement costs for the TPMS are covered if damaged by a covered road hazard.

Tire Protection8

Chevrolet Tire Protection plans are available only at the time of vehicle purchase and provide repair or replacement of your vehicle’s tires if damaged by a covered road hazard. Two plans are available: Single Tire and All Tires coverage.

Single Tire Coverage

Unlimited repairs and/or a maximum of one replacement of the covered tire. Includes mounting, balancing, valve stems, environmental fees, and taxes.

All Tires Coverage

Unlimited repairs and/or up to four tire replacements per covered vehicle. Includes mounting, balancing, valve stems, environmental fees, and taxes.

    1.     This Tire & Wheel Protection Plan is optional and is not insurance. Coverage is governed solely by the terms of the Chevrolet Tire & Wheel Protection Service Contract. Refer to the Agreement for full terms, conditions, limitations, and exclusions. Availability varies by state and model; contact your dealer for details.  
    2.    The administrator/obligor is Safe-Guard Products International, LLC, except where noted by state licensing requirements (Oklahoma, Washington, California, Florida).  
    3.    If a structurally damaged tire or wheel can’t be repaired, it will be replaced.  
    4.    Inspection may be required for certain coverage options.  
    5.    Transfers to another private party are allowed within 30 days of resale or lease assumption, subject to a fee; transfers to a dealer are not permitted.  
    6.    Coverage is refundable within 30 days if no claims are filed; subsequent refunds are pro rata, less claims paid and fees.  
    7.    The exclusions shown are not complete; see the service contract for full details.  
    8.    Certain terms may be non-transferable and void if the contract holder changes.  
    9.    Covered repairs are first attempted as repair; replacement occurs only if repair isn’t possible.  
    10.    Protection coverage may run concurrently with any applicable manufacturer’s limited warranty.
